Petition to Extend Credit/No Credit Policy in Spring 2021

Provost Jason Osborne has decided to not extend the policy to this upcoming semester despite Associated Student Government (ASG) & the Secretary for Academic Affairs advocating for this extension since November 2020. The Associated Student Government strives to represent all students in communication with the administration. As such they have advocated for the extension of the Credit/No Credit policy similar to Spring & Fall 2020.

ASG understands that the student body is not a monolith and that there are students who are in favor of returning to the standard academic policy around C/NC. If you would like to share your thoughts and experiences, please email Secretary for Academic Affairs, Ruku Pal, at palr3@miamioh.edu.

If you support the extension of the credit/no credit policy please sign below and we will take this forward as a proposal to the University Senate to review.

Official statement:

We, the student body, believe the success of students during this pandemic must be at the forefront of the university. The credit/no credit extension is essential to providing support to our students and must be extended to show support during these difficult times.
