ASG is thrilled to be hosting its annual round of elections for our Executive Cabinet! Those elected will serve in the roles for the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning on May 7, 2024.

Positions being elected:

Speaker of Student Senate

Secretary of On-Campus Affairs

Secretary of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Secretary of Academic Affairs

Secretary of the Treasury

Secretary of Safety and Wellness

Secretary of Infrastructure and Sustainability

Secretary of Governmental Relations

Secretary of Communications and Media

Secretary for Off-Campus Affairs

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Access the Cabinet Packet here and read through in its entirety. 

Step 2: Complete this Google Form with your completed petition: https://forms.gle/KcgeDdEnA7fjEg276

Step 3: Be on the lookout for an email from Speaker of Senate Tia Bakshi (asgspeaker@miamioh.edu) for an election schedule on April 7th.

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

March 13th: Cabinet packets are released and eligible for submission.

March 19th (Optional, but highly encouraged): “How to Run for Cabinet” presentation and Cabinet Information Session hosted by Speaker of Senate Tia Bakshi, 6pm in Joslin Senate Chamber. 

April 5th: Petitions and Accompanying Materials due at 5:00pm ET via https://forms.gle/KcgeDdEnA7fjEg276

April 7th: Email certifying petitions and informing candidates of instructions for the meeting will be sent

April 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th: Elections will be held during the regular meeting of Student Senate in the Joslin Senate Chamber, which begins at 6:00pm and may last until 10:30pm.
