Student Body President / Vice President
Election 2024

Please read all of the below information.

ASG is thrilled to be hosting our annual election to determine the Student Body President and Vice-President for the 2024-2025 school year. If interested, please ensure you follow these instructions to be eligible to run.

Step 1: Access the Spring 2024 Packet here and read through in its entirety.

Step 2: Complete this Google Form declaring your intent for your petition to be virtual or physical. This form can also be found on Page 2 of the Election Packet. Each member of a ticket must submit an individual Google Form.

Step 3: Once Google Form is submitted, you are free to gather 150 signatures (150 each, 300 total) from undergraduate Miami students. Students must list their names and UniqueIDs.

Step 4: 150 signatures must be obtained for each member of a ticket by noon on Monday, February 19th. Physical petitions must be submitted to the designated basket in the ASG Office, ASC 2012, by this time.

Step 5: All candidates must attend an introductory meeting on Monday, February 19th, at 5pm in the ASG Office, ASC 2012. The Elections Committee will go over important campaign guidelines and dates at this time. No campaign activities are permitted prior to the conclusion of this meeting.

Dates and times are subject to change at the discretion of the Elections Committee.


EXTENSION LISTED BELOW

January 29th: Election petitions are released and eligible for submission.

(New Deadline) February 19th: Petitions must have 150 signatures (150 per candidate, 300 per ticket) by noon. Candidates must also attend a mandatory meeting with the ASG Elections committee at 5pm in the ASG Office, ASC 2012.

(New Date) March 1st: Weekly reports begin, due at 5pm.

(New Date) March 5th: Associated Student Government Debate and Meet the Candidates Night shall take place in person at 7pm ET in the Armstrong Student Center. Attendance is mandatory for all candidates.

(New Date) March 18th-March 20th: The General Election shall take place from March 18th at 7:00am to March 20th at 7:00pm on The Hub.
