August is honored to serve as this year’s Secretary for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. They have been in ASG for 2 years; they sat on the DEI Committee both years and served as a liaison for the Diversity Affairs Council (DAC) for one year. As a senator, August worked on various DEI initiatives. This year, their focus is to foster a culture of intentional inclusion and collaboration. They aim to emphasize intentionality in equity work, build and strengthen more diverse connections with students and university programs, and be a support role for individuals in and out of ASG.

Fun fact: August once won 2nd place in a drawing competition and was awarded a trip to the United Kingdom!
